DRY-TYPE TRANSFORMERS
Dry-Type Distribution Transformers are used in electrical systems to step down or step up voltage, depending on the specific application. Unlike oil-filled transformers, dry-type units use air or resin insulation and are ideal for indoor or environmentally sensitive installations where fire safety and reduced maintenance are priorities.
These transformers are commonly rated from 15 kVA up to 5000 kVA, with primary voltages typically ranging from 600 volts to 35,000 volts. However, custom designs can support capacities up to 10,000 kVA and voltages as high as 38,000 volts for specialized medium-voltage needs.
Dry-type transformers are widely used across commercial, industrial, utility, renewable energy, data centers, mining, oil & gas, transportation, and government facilities, offering safe and reliable power distribution for both indoor and outdoor environments.
